Early to Bed, Early to Rise
Posted on January 24th, 2010 in Life
I’m trying again. I failed at getting up at 5:00 a.m. last week, although I did manage 6:30. This week, I’m trying a new strategy. I’ve asked my husband, who does get up at 5:00, to wake me up and do an exercise routine with me. That’ll help with both the waking up and the getting fit.
So I’m going to bed now. Since I took a lovely afternoon nap with the cat, I’m not sure whether I’ll fall asleep! But I’ll be in bed and off the computer.

I’m with you. It’s hard. A lot of times, I just lie there awake. It’s 4:45 or 5am and I’m awake, but it feels better laying in bed being lazy so I don’t get up. Silly, really. I always feel better getting up. I suppose sometimes I actually drift off and doze a bit, but it’s not real sleep.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a spouse that gets up early. In fact, it’s well known in her family that if you wake her up before she’s ready, you see the claws and fangs which she othewise hides so well
