Mojo, biking legs, whatever. I’ve been struggling for weeks, but this afternoon, I was once again riding without feeling exhausted. I don’t know whether my body’s stronger or it just needed the long weekend, but I’m glad of it either way.
I’ve also found my blogging mojo, thanks to NaBloPoMo. Yes, I missed a couple of [...]

I’ve been announcing ad nauseum recently that I would be attending the annual Fred Meyer sock sale. It’s held on Black Friday, for six hours, and all socks and tights are half price. Many people stock up for the year during this sale. I’m not a fan of Black Friday, but this is the one [...]
We don’t watch nearly as much TV as we used to, and I’m sure that’s a good thing. One reason is that there are very few shows (at least on broadcast/limited basic cable stations) on that we can all watch together. For instance, on Mondays at 8:00 is “How I Met Your Mother”. My husband [...]
My husband called me this afternoon, while I was counting the remaining minutes of the workday, and asked me to stop at the store on my way home. “We really need some sugar!” he said.

After I fixed a printer late this afternoon, a co-worker asked me “How late do you stay, anyway?”
“Oh, 4:30 or 5, depending on what time I get here,” I replied.
“Are you still riding your bike? Do you try to leave before it gets too dark?” she inquired, looking concerned.
Well, yes, I do ride my bike [...]
“Well, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I don’t agree with you.”
Maddeningly, that’s where we left it.
I’m usually the one who’s trying to help people talk to each other. I’m likely to say “So what you’re saying is…” And I think I’m pretty tolerant of people’s opinions most of the time. But I’ve got my [...]
I stopped for groceries on the way home today, and packed them into the Freeloader bags on my bike. I do this fairly often. I’ve carried up to four bags of groceries (big paper or cloth bags) and two gallons of milk at the same time. And sometimes I end up carrying both kids and [...]
