Incredible that the whole thing is done by volunteers. It's a grassroots community thing and a great way to connect with fellow WordPress fans. I love it! WordCamps are held all over the country (world?). Automattic/WordPress provides support and some swag (buttons, stickers, temporary tattoos, etc.). They also sent a couple of speakers.
