Especially in an election year, when I find myself approaching my party of choice with the missionary zeal of someone who's already converted two people to it. I know at least one of them who's doing volunteer work in her state now, so I'm hopeful that it's being passed on -- like Corina said, a ripple effect. I love this. Especially in an election year, when I find myself approaching my party of choice with the missionary zeal of someone who’s already converted two people to it. I know at least one of them who’s doing volunteer work in her state now, so I’m hopeful that it’s being passed on — like Corina said, a ripple effect. I think that’s possibly the best we can hope for.

I think No Impact Man and YOU have both stated this very well. You're both right. I gave up trying to change people's minds with words long ago. The only way to do it is by action; both your own action that sets the example, and by teaching it (usually through teaching something else). By the way, while you thought you weren't making a difference, you really were. You're raising children in a way that sets the example for their lifelong habits and causes and interests. By doing that, you've effected the world because they will also teach others. It's a ripple effect. It may take a while to see the results, but they will be there! I love the girls voices on this!
