Keira Knightley Makes Me Feel Old

This one is for my friend Wanda, although I’m pretty sure she only mentions Keira Knightley in her blog because of her connection to Orlando.

Keira was recently interviewed for Newsweek about her new movie The Duchess (which may or may not be showing in your area.  It’s in limited release in the U.S.; in Portland it’s at the Fox Tower).

The interviewer asked Keira about the resemblance between her character (Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire in the 18th century) and Princess Diana.   Keira said:

“When I first read the script, I didn’t see any parallels with Diana because I didn’t know her story well enough.  I was 11 when she died.”

Groan.  Keira, I was 11 when she got married!  Way to make me feel old.  Remind me to never read your interviews again.
