You really need to get lights, rechargeable batteries and a recharger (triple and double A). If its not in the budget, then ask (it really is an important safety issue- a need, not a want). Set up an amazon wish list. Maybe a reader will buy it for you. A planet bike blinky is a great rear light. I wouldn't buy anything else. It is bright, has the option to blink, and doesn't run batteries to the ground. My front light is okay but I can't recommend it. Its not as bright as it should be. Kathleen

Rain. As for bike commuting, not here, Sister. No one sees bicyclists. Every so often a bicyclist is the victim of a hit and run, and last week it was on Thursday. It wasn't far from my house.
