Bicycle Commuting and Kids

For some reason, I can’t think my way out of this dilemma to my satisfaction.

Tomorrow I go back to work.  I plan to ride my bike (assuming I get off the computer and get the tire changed).  My husband will take the car.  He leaves earlier than I do (like, at 6:30).  The kids have to be dropped off at day care.  It’s not far away — like half a mile.  I have an eight-year-old, a six-year-old, and a three-year-old.  The older ones can bike or scooter.  I don’t have a seat or a trailer for the youngest though.

So, do I walk my bike down there with a walking three-year-old?  Do I rush out and buy (via credit card, because I don’t have the cash) a seat or trailer?  Do I say, “to hell with it, I need the car, honey?”  Or, do I make the kids get up at 6:00 a.m. so that he can drop them off?  Your ideas and opinions are hereby solicited.
